Will the downturn continue?

DI - Jan 13, 2003

There is no reason to have high expectations on the full-year reports, writes Dagens Industri's Mikael Törnwall. We have not seen any signs of improvement during the fourth quarter and Motorola has stated that the infrastructure sector will decrease during 2003, writes Törnwall. Törnwall refers to American investors, who are forecasting a continued crisis for the telecom industry and continued cost savings are the only solution. Törnwall concludes that the most interesting part of the Ericsson report, released February 3, will be on how successful Per-Arne Sandström has been in further reducing costs.
