i don't find them. they find me.

My radio stations must not know much about them.

What flavor radio station is it that you hear them on?

I occasionally listen to two country radio stations.
One where I live.
One where I work.

Except for the DJ's names, I'd say they were identical.
And the programming genius there seems to like
the same 4 songs. Usually there's one song about someone
breaking up and getting back together. Another one about
how the dude realized how lucky he is to have a woman like
he does. One about a pick up truck. And one that has
something to do with how great our country is.

Regardless of the song, most times the lyrics revolve
around some sort of catch phrase. And the singer almost
always has three names.

When I go further up north into the woods of NY I used to
get three country stations.

One played all of the new stuff.

One played most of the older country stuff sprinkled in with
a new song here and there.

The third one often would find songs that had a little more
to the lyrics than a corny catch phrase. I'm guessing this
station may have been independent and had more leeway in
their programming mold. The songs seemed to mean a little
more or challenged the listener a bit more. I kinda liked
them.

I think they went out of business, though.

Taken over by some sort of soft rock station.
I don't think they have any human DJ's.

Anyhow, maybe these cookie cutter station giants haven't
completely taken over your part of New Mexico yet.

Keep an eye out for them, though.

They are out to steal your soul.
