If you want to go with common parlance, a woman who wants a baby calls it a baby. A woman who doesn't want a
baby commonly says she "is pregnant."

I don't know about that. The common cry "I'm going to have a baby" may well be used by women who don't wantit at all.

And keep in mind the grieving that many women who lose their babies through miscarriage go through -- they don't do that when they cut their hair or fingernails.

I believe that everybody except Planned Parenthood types accepts that the pregnancy is of more than just a bundle of cells.
