Stratex Networks Secures Agreement From Jordan Mobile Telephone Services Monday January 13, 8:00 am ET JMTS Will Upgrade Current Network of Stratex Products With Altium MX 311 Terminals
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stratex Networks (Nasdaq: STXN - News), one of the world's foremost solutions providers for mobile applications and broadband wireless access, today announced an agreement with Jordan Mobile Telephone Services (JMTS) to upgrade their current microwave infrastructure due to high traffic demands.
The recent agreement calls for Stratex Networks to replace the existing installed rings of Altium® 155 digital microwave radio product with new Altium MX 311 terminals, doubling the speed capacity of the rings. Once the upgrade is completed, the Altium 155 terminals will be repositioned to other locations where upgrades to 155 Mbps speed are now required. The agreement includes services for the design, supply, installation, frequency planning, interference calculations and equipment testing as well as a five-year maintenance agreement for the new radio systems.
