More counterpoint to the TOHOE theory, this time mine: I am sure our boys have thought up counters to all these worst case possibilities..rather realities. A visit to Blockbuster Video and a viewing of the Tom Cruise movie, "Mission Impossible" would also be advisable for those wishing to really "get to the bottom" of the scenarios. First...a no holds bared paratrooper drop and assault in the oil fields with tommy-guns blazing on the way down. Or use of low flying short drop bungie techniques to rapidly put men and gear on the ground around the oil facilities which is absolutely sure to surprise the 'unsuspecting' Iraq army. Employment of radio controlled detonating jambers simultaneously to render the explosive charges placed on the oil wells useless. Fazers on stun set over a wide area are a possibility and have been tested successfully in the Star Trek series since the 60's. We have come a long way since then and more than likely will be able to employ this tactic with a successful outcome as long as the element of surprise is not lost. Poison gas and chemicals are no problem and should they be used against us only PROVES there was a smoking gun after all! Take that you Euro wimps! Besides, we have adapted our helicopters with reverse blade suction capabilities enabling them to simply blow gases out of harms way. As far as the chemicals go, heck Saddam would be doing us a favor by blowing up the dams cause wouldn't all the water just wash all those chemicals away into the desert rendering them useless? Finally, nobody realizes as yet is that the Iraqis are cowards and will simply quit when the war begins and march toward our lines with white flags, pictures of their wives and children and copies of their USC degrees in hand.
