The most cautious analyst covering Intel appears to be Joseph Osha at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Osha, who believes Intel will report earnings of $0.13 per share on revenue of $6.9 billion, told clients he expected a conservative conference call with guidance remaining flat and, although he expects volatile price swings before and after the report, he believes the stock will settle below $17.

The consensus earnings estimate is $0.14 per share on revenue of $6.9 billion. The Earnings Whisper ® number is $0.15 per share on revenue of $7.0 billion and gross margins of just above 50% - 1% above the company’s guidance in December.
