regarding Palestinian parties for "martyrdom operations", here's a report from last summer's attack on Hebrew University (which has a lot of Arab students, btw):

Thousands of demonstrators marched in Gaza, in a display of celebration over the suicide attack at the Hebrew University earlier Wednesday, which claimed the lives of seven and wounded thirty-nine, Itim news agency reported.

They even throw parties, thought smaller ones, when the "martyrs" died trying but failing to kill Jews:

Just around the corner, Hassan Abu Shob was hosting a party for his 15-year- old son, Haithem, who died last Thursday trying to infiltrate Dugit. Israeli soldiers shot him in the neck and in the side before he could set off the handmade pipe bomb he was carrying.

"I am not too sad about my son because I believe that he is a martyr, and is now with God," Haithem's father said. "He did the right thing. He died trying to liberate Palestine."

That their children died in complete vain -- no enemy Jews sent to hell -- does not seem to disturb these parents.
