<That sounds like Monaco> yes, that is why "the Monaco case" is interesting, tests the abilities
to find functional, mutual "minority", or special (EU-)solutions for special situations.
(While.Turkey is a much larger one, and then the largest, the St Petersburg area of Russia, some day,
probably as "special kind of EU region" )

Note, I have not actively followed "the Monaco case", only some random stuff on reporting
income, etc of Monaco-resident EU-citizens, or just if they actually are legally resident (for example,
one of the finnish Formula drivers)

Tobacco-Formula-stuff as it is some kind of a problem for UK when joining EMU.

Ilmarinen

Btw, Norway is now positive to joining EU, 58% and only some 30% against.
Norway's problem the fishing rights which were not solved and now UK and Spain
are "forced" to do something, to avoid the same result as for the now disappeared
cod on the west side of the atlantic.

Plus the oil issues, and maybe especailly to be "free" to cooperate with Russia, which
seem to have worked out well during these years.

PS. EMU = the euro, Monetary Union, next step after joining EU (for those who might
not know, demands a lot of reforms of laws, accounting and finance, etc, etc, etc)
