NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 25, 2002 - Delphi Product & Service Solutions, a division of Delphi Corp. (NYSE: DPH) and XM Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: XMSR) today unveiled a next-generation plug and play satellite radio that offers the features listeners have been yearning for and plays in the car, home, office, or virtually anywhere a subscriber wants to enjoy XM's 101 channels of revolutionary programming.

Delphi, a pioneer of in-vehicle entertainment and electronics, and XM, America's leading satellite radio service, have teamed to offer the Delphi XM SKYFi™ Radio, an attractive, compact unit that has the most advanced user features of any satellite radio on the market today. The receiver, along with vehicle and home accessory kits, will be available at major retail outlets beginning in October. SKYFi will retail for $129.99 (MSRP) for the receiver and remote control. A required home or vehicle kit for $69.99 (MSRP) will complete the SKYFi system for under $200.

Delphi and XM today also introduced the Delphi XM SKYFi Audio System™, a portable audio unit that integrates with the SKYFi receiver. The SKYFi Audio System (excluding the SKYFi receiver) will be sold at retail stores later this year for $99.99 (MSRP). The SKYFi Audio System is a "boombox" that contains a pair of high quality speakers with an integrated high gain antenna and a dock for the SKYFi receiver. It can be powered by an A/C adaptor to create a high quality countertop/bookshelf XM system for the home or office, or used with batteries to experience XM in virtually any location.

"We're thrilled to join Delphi in introducing SKYFi, an affordable next-generation XM radio that offers all the features XM fans have been demanding most: portability, a large display, direct channel entry, the ability to preview and search XM channels by artists and song titles, and 20 channel presets," said Robert Acker, vice president, product marketing and strategy for XM Satellite Radio. "SKYFi is a great way to explore and enjoy XM's 101 channels of amazing radio, and is a 'must-have' holiday gift."

"As the world's largest automotive electronics manufacturer, Delphi has the knowledge and has moved quickly to enhance the XM satellite radio user-experience with a product that is feature-rich and easy to use," said Francisco A. (Frank) Ordoñez, president of Delphi Product & Service Solutions and vice president of Delphi Corporation. "Audio enthusiasts demand a full-featured product. Delphi and XM have designed SKYFi with these special needs in mind."

SKYFi features a large display that concurrently shows channel number, channel name, artist name, song title and channel category. SKYFi also comes with a remote control for convenient channel navigation.

The unit also improves navigation by allowing direct-channel entry from both the receiver and remote control, and has 20 channel presets. The channel guide mode allows five channels to be viewed at a time while scrolling through the XM channels by channel name, number, artist name or song title.

In addition, a "favorites" mode lets users preview the artist name and song title currently playing on their favorite channels before selecting one, and a channel skip/add feature that lets users skip channels while scrolling through the XM line-up.

The SKYFi display can be set to a large font size allowing the listener to view the song title, artist name or channel number from across the room.

SKYFi accessory kits for the home and vehicle will allow consumers to enjoy uninterrupted XM radio service in any vehicle, home or office.

The SKYFi Vehicle Adaptor Kit, which can adapt to any existing car stereo system includes:

Vehicle cradle, with multiple mounting options
Small magnetic-mounted vehicle antenna
Cassette adaptor, allowing the system to play through the vehicle's existing radio system
Power adaptor
In addition, a vehicle FM modulator kit, which allows SKYFi to be used with any existing car FM radio system, is available as a separate accessory and can be professionally installed for a "wireless" look.

The SKYFi Home Adaptor Kit, adaptable to most home or workplace audio systems, or able to connect directly to a set of multimedia speakers, includes:

Home stand
Hi-gain indoor/outdoor antenna
AC power adaptor
Audio cable with RCA jacks to connect to home audio systems
