Actually, I don't have any health problems. My breathing is fine. I can run with the best of them. Food tastes better when I'm smoking. When I quit smoking--if you can believe this--I lose my appetite.
Cigarettes are very expensive here in the Bay Area and, in fact, all over California. A few years ago, California voters, in their infinite wisdom, decided to give the State coffers additional bounty by taxing the already overtaxed California cigarette-smoker. While I don't believe cigarettes will kill me, giving the State even more of my money might. Also, it is hard being the only cigarette-smoker left in the San Francisco Bay Area . . . really hard.
But no, I do not see cigarette-smoking, or its younger cousin, second-hand smoke, as health hazzards surpassed only by the bubonic plague.
