My concern is that it will take something REAL UGLY to get these stocks down to fair value. I don't even want to speculate about what that may be as it could make investing seem trivial to whats happening in the real world. This reminds me of 9/11. It seemed obvious before that event that the market was going to implode. I recall us chatting about it and my speculation was that energy / blackout potential over the summer would lead to our demise. Then, with less than a week to go before 9/11, me, you and JP were chatting about impending doom based on the vix. We could all think of potential things that would cause a major drop but not in our wildest dreams did we expect the events of 9/11. Fast forward to today - it would seem that it will be the invasion of Iraq that drives us down but the simple fact that we know about that leads me to believe its been factored in. So I ask....what unthinkable event could await us to drive equities down?
