Sorry to hear that you have had problems with XP. I haven't heard of many problems with XP but what little I do on my computer I'm sure I never push it's capabilities anyway.

If you're trying to transfer programs that is probably one of the problems. XP's wizard is not designed to and will not do that. Only preferences and info such as email settings and My Documents folders will be transferred. You need a program like Aloha Bob to transfer full program files and settings.
