His (and your) assumption seems to be more children of Senators and Congress would be in the service, on the front line if we forced people to join. It's delusional to believe sons of Senators and congressman wouldn't find a way around the system and work in the Reserves, or some other safe post. Why is it Democrats are always forcing people to do things? If you're worried about the privileged elite voting for war when they never have to worry about it for their own children, simple.
