Wonder what could happen to derail the protest from the media -- any votes? Any suggestions?
As we know, some events are bound to be coincidental to, say, oh, I don't know, big votes in Congressional spending, an election cycle, big dip in popularity, news conference, a protest rally.
Anyway, according to the "theory of Al Queada" (aka psy-ops), for maximum news distraction, each event is supposed to be unexpected. Here's a chance to defuse that. If we do have a Jan. 18th "event" coincident with mass protests, it will be interesting to see if it is "something new" or "something old"...

e) another exploding nightclub (DOD budget vote)
f) "racin" or bioterror "discovery" (increased UK doubters)
g) medium-size Iraqi skirmish, complete w. live video of exploding Iraqis (not seen since Bush I)
h) Paki / India saber-rattle, nuke-threats (Missile Defense vote)
i) N.Korea saber-rattle, nuke-threats (Budget vote)
j) real dirty-bomber, rural area (hasn't happened)
k) public suicide on noon news (hasn't happened)
l) attempted assassination of a politician (many predictable political results)
m) contaminated water in a rural area (hasn't happened)
