there's a lot of rhetoric and speculation going on here

fighting over unsubstantiated rumors and innuendo, some ridiculous

the fact is, America does not like or trust Saddam Hussein and as unfortunate as it is, he is the leader of Iraq

nor should we trust him - he has long factual history of violence, aggression, repression, bullying, lies, denial and use of biochemical weapons

he is a loose canon in a volatile part of the world

from his history and his actions, his word carries very little if any weight

after the tragedy 9/11, with terrorism acted out in our own country, we simply cannot afford to allow Saddam Hussein to be a loose cannon any longer, he is too dangerous, too volatile

so, we have put the pressure on - we have demanded he step down - we have demanded he not have the capability of weapons of mass destruction

to stop him from playing his age old game of dodge and serpentine [at which he is expert] - we have upped the stakes - we are telling him and the world, in no uncertain term we mean business this time

we are not war mongers - our leaders are not war mongers - we do not want to see people killed

we have given this man, hence his country, years to comply with the terms of his defeat in the Gulf War - a war I might add he brought on by invading an oil rich neighbor and putting the entire world at risk for economic chaos - we have been more than patient

we will not be bullied - nor buy into his talking out of both sides of his mouth any longer - we can't afford to do that

we've had enough

he is being called on the carpet

his day has come

his clock has run out

his time is up

payment due

it all boils down to, he either produces or pays

bottom line
