| Of course, I cannot comment on your circumstance, which sounds ghastly. I can say that I have rarely gotten tickets; that I have never gotten a ticket I didn't deserve, with the exception of a parking ticket at a meter that ran fast; that I have been spared a ticket in a couple of instances, because the cop took to me; and that I have had cops perform occasional good turns, for example, once changing a tire for me in a left turn lane, because he could get it done faster. Additionally, my brother with cerebral palsy has lots of cop pals, both on the DC force and at the Capitol. His Capitol Police buddies helped to move him and my mom, even though I offered to pay for the move, because my mother couldn't see paying all that money for professionals. Also, one of my brothers was a cop for awhile. So again, I know there are bad cops, or that even good cops can make mistakes, but my personal dealings have mostly been positive, and I like the police, by and large....... |
