That's too bad. At least you beat the reckless driving charge. Somehow, I have trouble imagining you driving recklessly. And somehow, I have trouble imagining a cop not having anything better to do these days than to ticket such a thing. I drive on the beltway enough to see lots of ticket opportunities going unticketed.

I was done in by a car this week, too. I came home from Tucson to find the ABS idiot light flashing on my dash. The dealer says that the computer says that there's a leak/loss of pressure--gotta replace the ABS. It's incomprehensible to me that an ABS would need replacement at 15K miles. I hadn't expected to have a major repair on my car while it still had its original battery, for heaven's sake. No explanation. All I got was "the computer says..." Cost me even more than your run-in with the cop.

I guess these things just happen. Hopefully, they don't happen too often.
