Office of Management and Budget Director Mitch Daniels told reporters after a U.S. Chamber of Commerce luncheon that the federal government would likely run deficits in the $200 billion to $300 billion range in the current fiscal year and fiscal 2004. It wasn't apparent when the budget would return to surplus, he said.
