PTIE Was up 33.62% on volume of 378,549 (about 6.5x its daily average)after it announced a licensing agreement with DRRX, to formulate certain long-acting opioid drugs. Under the agreement, PTIE paid DRRS an undisclosed upfront fee and has exclusive worldwide rights to develop its opioid drugs with DRRS's gel- cap SABER technology. (The market for opioid drugs reportedly was more than $3 billion in 2002.)
