I agree. Every slump has an ending. It's usually right at the very end that the doomsayers make their loudest pronouncements.

But...every now and then...the slump goes on a bit longer than you think.
Doomsayers are like a stopped watch. They are right occasionally. Unlike a stopped watch, however, they tend to thump their chests and engage in schadenfreude.
