Yes. Measured against historical norms, the numbers are strong for this period in a Presidency.

But, with the recently revised WH estimates of $300 B. plus deficits for '03 and '04 (likely a bit on the conservative side) due for official release next week....

And the likely 'difficulties' in a post-Saddam Iraq with an Iranian-backed irredentist movement among the majority Shiite population, and long-repressed dreams of nationhood among the Kurds flowering among the oil fields around Mosul, not to mention the steady 'drip, drip, drip' of the Israeli/Palestine situation....

Those top line poll numbers may follow those of his father.
