Sure the US can do more damage than can NK, but at what cost in blood, and to whom ... not much there for distances, this is not like shooting sitting ducks out on some desert highway on the road to Basra, this is very close to the chinese and the japanese and the south koreans - did you know NK has over ten thousands pieces of heavy long-range artillery trained on Seoul? ... Bush starts anything up, and five millions die, quite likely more ... possibly less, but do you want to take the bet The cold war was a bluff yes, but it wasn't a war ... both sides perceived the other to be more imperialistically ambitious than they in fact were ... it was a weird self-feeding mutual paranoia ... those of us who didn't subscribe to the religions with their dogma of -isms thought it was pretty bloody stupid ... those who lost family in the various proxy wars along the way thought it something quite worse than that
