I am sorry that you have so large a comprehension problem. I will make a few corrections, for your benefit:
1. I did not define anti- Americanism as criticism of the government or officials. I defined it as a bias (mere assumption) that the government and its officials were deluded, fanatical, imperialist, and otherwise either somewhat crazy or evil
2. Thus, I did not change my claim. Obviously, assumptions are not beyond examination, and I do not even mean to prejudge whether they can be argued. I simply observe that I have never seen anyone bother to argue these assumptions, instead, they argue circularly.
3. I said nothing about heroism. I am sure that many in government have ordinary human foibles, and that some of them are not very good nor very competent. My objection is to trashing people on the basis of innuendo rather than a solid case.
4. My observations are my observations. It has nothing to do with pseudo- psychology, it has to do with the way the man strikes me.
5. A lot of people who "track the Bushes" like them, even think highly of them. I find the potshots people like you and TP take just that, rather silly attempts to raise alarms when something cannot be inferred, but only suggested by innuendo......... |
