Sun Micro to end mid-quarter updates By Rex Crum 01/16/2003 16:56 Sun Microsystems CFO Steve McGowan said that due to uncertain visibility, the computer-hardware company would end its practice of giving mid-quarter business updates. McGowan said it was "difficult to provide a meaningful forecast" and did not give any earnings estimates for the company's current third fiscal quarter. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call are estimating Sun to post a loss of 1 cent a share for the quarter ending in March.
