You know, you are very good at presenting the negative side. Would you mind explaining (if you have not already) the positive side for Barrick.

In theory taking on lots of debt in advance of inflation makes sense. In practice, being debt free and having lots of capital works better, especially when interest rates rise with inflation. If the price of gold goes up, it is a good thing to own gold.
