Faris: Looks as thuogh I can't shut up. With regard to all this stuff about whether there is a lot of oil in the concession: If I'm not mistaken(and I may be) the property is on the east shore of and under the Caspian south of the penninsula that is about midway of the north-south extension of that sea. That is right in the middle of the action. It is literally surrounded by proven elephant oilfields. I'll bet any major would have snapped it up, and that they all sought it. I have represented the marketing ends of practically every major American oil co in the dim past, and my recollection is that in those days they would far rather buy proven reserves than do their own exploring. So, while they might finance or joint venture on exploration of good prospects, they generally would not buy same unless the price was very, very right. My feeling is that this may be a "good prospect" that is really classified as probable or proven reserves; that, therefore, any major is willing to get into it on any reasonable terms for financing, joint venturing or buying, or all 3. If I have the location right, there must be some terrible anomaly in the structure of the earth if there is not an awesome amount of oil there. What do you think of the above? Geneat
