Imagine if Ronald Reagan had announced in 1985 that we were going back to Vietnam, and this time we were going to take out those commies. That's how surreal the whole discussion of invading Iraq is, because we have just about as much justification today.

It is certainly surreal to imply that we have been safely out of Iraq since 1991, and Saddam has been inoffensive and cooperative all the while. He has been neither, and the US is putting forth ever more effort to keep up an untenable and collapsing sactions regimes.
