Being a simple guy I cannot do "seasonal adjustments" as it seems to me that the seasons adjust themselves. Therefore, I Iooked at the increase/decrease in 4 commodities for the month of December: Crude Oil, Heating Oil, Natural Gas and Unleaded Gas as my "energy index".

Results:
Crude Oil +16%
Heating Oil +14%
Natural Gas +20%
Unleaded Gas +14%

Dec versus the BLS decline of 0.4%.
