However, the United States and several Iraqi dissident groups have sources of their own on the whereabouts of some key sites, and the time is approaching when Blix and Saddam will be put to the test.

If I were you, I would watch out for the discovery that Saddam Hussein has been using cellars and tunnels underneath mosques to hide his weaponry: a disclosure that might have its effect in the Muslim world and at the United Nations

Wouldn't surprise me if the US/UK has more than one source inside the Iraqi regime who are perfectly willing to rat the SOB out. I think that Saddam has laid plans for a scorched earth policy in the event of invasion. I don't expect too many Shia are pleased at the prospect of seeing their hometowns offered up as fruitless sacrifices to Saddam's apocalyptic fantasies. Imo the warhead discovery is just the beginning of disclosures we'll see coming out of Iraq over the next few weeks or so. Khidir Hamza was a Shiite.

The things that really struck me about Blair's press conference were that he appeared utterly confident of the following:

1. Saddam has WMD.
2. Some of those WMD's would be discovered in the near future.
3. The UN weapons inspectors would play a significant role in the discoveries.
4. On the basis of the above, a second UN resolution authorizing use of force would be readily obtained with one possible no vote (I'm thinking Syria).

To arrive at such conclusions in private is one thing, but in front of the whole world and a somewhat hostile British press is quite another. Maybe I'm nuts, but it sure sounded to me that Blair was holding four aces. We shall see.
