Mark (or anyone else):

We are approaching the end of July, which is the end of a quarter for FEET. The stock is beginning to show its usual behavior of running up just prior to the end of the quarter. Within the first few days after the end of the quarter, FEET always seems to announce tremendous gains in same store sales, plus good sales at new stores. This pattern, of course, did not hold for the quarter six months ago when these announcements were accompanied by the restatement of earnings.

My question is: does anyone think this is worth a short-term play over the next two weeks? I was thinking of buying options and hoping to catch a run-up. Has anyone been in one of the stores recently and asked a manager how this quarter's sales are going? I've always found that to be very helpful and the managers are quite forthcoming. I don't live close to a store, however. Anyone volunteer to go ask?
