Can't trust the americans(plausible premise), can't trust the iraqis(point of fact), then perhaps trust the UN inspectors and Hans Blix (clearly not pro-american).

Well, let me ask a hypothetical question. Under what conditions would there be sufficient cause to go to war in iraq?

That's easy. If they got hostile and attacked (or threatened to attack) others - something they have not done in the past decade.
