I would have happily paid the admission just to hear your mutterings as you sat through it. I will bet that you could hardly restrain yourself from leaping up on to the stage and taking a shot at them. (g)

Had a much more fun assignment in a similar environment a short while ago. Got asked to be a speaker at an investment love-in. It was obvious that I was the "token bear" in the line-up. The bullish speakers all wore two thousand dollar suits, but unfortunately brought little more than the normal "you-are-in-it-for-the-long haul", "the-indexes-always-rise-over-time", and "no-individual-can-time-the-markets" drivel. It was a ball and I "wasted" the bums with a large bag of nasty facts. Almost hate to admit it, but I enjoyed gutting the bounders (becoming more irrascible with each passing year). When it was over, those good folks in the audience hung around for a lengthy period.

As has increasingly been the case over the past year, I came away rather buoyed up as I sense that our beloved Joe Three-pak (the guy most of us really believe in), intuitively is coming to realize that he has been fed a pack of lies by Wall Street and is plucking up his courage to act, once he gets his hands on some hard counter ammunition. It was fun to help him fill his pack sack. (g)

Best, Earlie
