Just a loose term of about everything else combined, except for precious metals, or the general markets.

I usually look at market technicals on the NYSE, SPX, NAS COMP, and the DOW. Then I look at specific indexes if I so desire.

Decisionpoint is the only entity I suscribe too. They have developed an index that they refer to as The Total Market, and it is helpful with regard to certain market technicals. DP total markets combine data from the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX.
