WebStar is a great server, but there are several servers that cost much less (or are free) and are almost as good. The main advantage of webStar is the support and range of CGIs available.

One major advantage of using Macs as Web and FTP servers (besides the ease of setup and maintenance) is that they have been shown to be immune to outside, malicious intervention (baring denial of service attacks). NT and other Microsoft based servers have security problems - just ask Microsoft (and others) what happened to their servers a few weeks ago.
