jj, have to admit I'm fairly new at options. Have not done much of it. Since I'm very bearish and think we are in for a long haul down, I've been taking some cash and gold profits and buying leap puts, with emphasis on financials. Bought a load of GE leaps yesterday for example. Mostly Jan 04 15's and 20's. I thought the 15's the best deal.

3M - I bought July 03 130's, when the stock price recently topped out. I didn't think the price was bad, for my targets. Can't offhand remember what I paid, but a lot less outlay as if I would have shorted. I'm looking for low risk and leverage.

It will be a while before my strategy plays out, but time should be on my side.
