I supported Desert Storm

Actually, so did I.

Which I find rather interesting...

Y'see.. I can't understand how someone can claim to have backed the use of force to remove Saddam's forces from Kuwait, and then not support forcing Saddam to comply with the terms that ended that war.

Since 1991, I've been of the mind that the job was never finished. And that was evident when Saddam threatened to invade Kuwait again in 1994.. UTTERLY LIED about his possession of chemical and biological stockpiles from 1991 through 1995, and down nothing but try and place hurdles and obstacles in the path of all UN inspectors ever since..

There are just too many people trying to play apologist for Saddam Hussein... claiming that while they despise him, they don't see a rationale for the US removing him from power..

Even Scott Ritter.. faced with irrefutable evidence that Saddam didn't dispose of all of his warheads, tries to "excuse" their "accounting", saying the Iraqis were always kept poor records.. when he absolutely knows that is not the case. The Iraqis kept meticulour records (any tyrannical regime would so that enemies couldn't get their hands on these weapons).. They just kept two sets of books.

The real weapons are likely in Tikrit, where his clan keeps an eye on them and prevents rival clans from possessing them..

And eventually we'll see the UN folks stop by and pay a visit to Saddam's hometown.
