Creditman, I Owe You One!
To be honest, I bought Elexsys thinking it would the home run,
and PGTZ would be a single, if you know what I mean. Instead,
PGTZ has proven itself the champion, and we both know what
happened to Elexsys. (Hope I didn't apply any salt to that
wound there). From the press release, Praetizger looks like
they'll have the wind to their back from here on out, for
several quarters at least. Another keeper!
Was wondering what your opinion of SCI Systems was. I realize
they have low margins in comparison with rest of ECM players,
but Olin is getting on in years, and I gotta believe he wants
to go out with a bang. And if I remember right, he made a
statement a while back stating that margin improvement was
going to be one of his top goals. Usually the dominant company in
an industry sector carries a premium to the rest of the companies
it competes with. I mean, there's a reason it got so big to
begin with. Seems to me, here, SCI actually gets less respect.
And then there's that Ericsson contract and all the announced
plant expansions and new builds. I'm trying to play this one
for a short term pop. Trading volume usually picks up about a
week prior to earnings announcement if I've read the historic
charts right. Just playing a hunch here that things will turn
out better than people may expect.
