>>What are MLPs?<

Master Limited Partnerships-- A range of stocks, similar to REIT's-that allow profits to be transmitted directly to the shareholder. The natural resource MLP's are usually tax-deferred. Dividends hover around 8-12 % and many are quite secure. E.g., NBP is a natural gas pipeline that has increased its dividend often. NRGY distribites propane and has lifted its dividend every quarter of its brief life. Therefore, the stock price also goes up, My older son's (who's wife had a terrific baby 8 hours ago) firm, AG Edwards specializes in MLP's and has good research.

>>What was his "harm" before the inspectors arrived???<<

Just annihilated opposition, including the gassing of Halabja. Attacked and gassed Iran when he saw they were in a disorganized state. Probably killed a million people. Invaded Kuwait--you know all this. Alleged to introduce the West Nile virus to NY. Gratuitously sent SCUD missles to Tel Aviv. The result of all of these actions cruelly harmed Iraqis as well as his opponents. His colors are clear. Do you have any doubt that if he thought he would succeed, that he has NO ethical or moral barriers that could inhibit him? He was stopped only by force. Furthermore, the constraints that are now being imposed on him were agreed to by him.

>>Perhaps because he wants some weapons stacked somewhere so he can protect his country when Bush et al come to invade for the oil?<<

His weapons are the reason for the inspectors, not the oil. They are peashooters compared to the forces massed upon him. Other states have oil and we're not threatening them. I doubt that we could ever validate either position, but I strongly feel that Iraqi oil would not be threatened if Saddam weren't there.

Nevertheless, I don't see the need for invasion if the inspectors are there.
