LSI recommended by Scott Black,

In the Jan 13, 2003 issue of Barrons, Scott Black, a seasoned and regular on the yearly Barrons Roundtable, recommended LSI at a price of $6.26. Black believes LSI can double in price based on its proven management and leading technology in ASICs.

He places a lot of emphasis in LSI ability to weather the current storm in technology orders because LSI is a proven survivor over many past boom bust cycles and mentions the steadiness of CEO Corrigan.

As you can imagine others on the Roundtable panel, especially Marc Faber disagreed enormously with Black's analysis. Faber called LSI a trash technology company that will go to ZERO when the Chinese start competing in the ASIC market. Faber is based in Asia and cited how Chinese manufacturing capacity has grown like a weed within the last decade.

Makes for good reading so buy this issue of Barrons, check it out at the library, or review on-line (for a fee).

Good Luck investing,

Carey Thompson
