My point was that if we executed them -- or alternatively kept them on death row indefinitely -- after their first murder, they would not have had the opportunity to be released into society to kill the second batch of at least 300 people. Yet again, you're speaking with certainty about things that haven't happened and may not. How can you prove that they will, necessarily, kill again? Some might, some might not. That is my point with respect to this issue. Looked at in another way: how many of those who served time for murder and then did it again did so while the death penalty was in place? LPS5
