As I pointed out before, you brought up the Mexican war and the claim that US territory belonged to Mexico.

You want that argument you laid out? Fine. Then there was no valid treaty ending the Texan revolution and the question of the southern border of Texas was still open at the time the Mexican War started.

The Treaty of Guadelupe Hidalgo did settle it, though.
