Although there are many fine books on the Candlestick Technique, The master reference is often considered to be this early work: Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques by Steve Nison; publisher NYIF, 1991. REVIEW: global-investor.com Nison originally brought to light these techniques in two articles published by Futures Magazine: December, 1989 April, 1990 I have contacted Futures Magazine by EMAIL in search of reprints (so far, no reply). If anyone here has access to these two articles, I would very much like to add them to my library; thanks.
