Interesting scenarios you present--

In regards to the futures comments. If you haven't done so--you might want to look into the Rydex groups of funds for a play there. The Rydex 'Dynamic' funds are leveraged 2/1--are no-load and allow unlimited access to trade in and out of them with AM and PM entries and/or exits each day. You also have the advantage of trading as small or as large as you wish--and they offer long and short fund positions in both the SPX and NDX.
It is also is a way to hedge other long-term positions you may wish to hold in the markets.

I believe there may be some minimums to establish the account--but I
think it is a very good way to gain initial experience in trading the futures.

Best,
Joanne
