OT-WAR, yes, but I hope I will live to see how it will evolve, at a minimum for UK.

USA seem to be much trickier, due to much larger population and history, the reason for that
old catch-2(2) thing.

Basic dive into the math gives that trend, the reason why nations with populations above 30-50 million
population go for socalled mixed systems, one part of congress elected "US-UK-Canada-style",
another using proportional representation in a ratio 50-50 or whatever seem to be practical.
(includes the option of a 2-house system, one winner-takes-all and the other proportional)

Some examples

Germany (so forced by USA), Russia, China (getting started) and to some degree India.
As well as Mexico, ouch... and most of latin-south america, even Cuba.
