No, you aren't.
You are paying that larger sum of money to educate all sorts of children, expensive children, children with disabilities that the private schools won't take. That is what you are paying for. The kids without disabilities, and the children who are not ELD students, or who are not behavior problems, and are accepted at the private schools ARE cheaper to teach. But they are cheaper because they are easier students. Is your solution to simply leave all the difficult students in the public schools, while educational dollars are siphoned off to private schools, or do you simply not want to educate those children?

And here's an idea- ask to look at the budget for your school system. I guarantee you the special education budget will be large, and growing. But what are we to do? Not educate children with disabilities? I've seen the budget in my city, and I go to all the school board meetings. I wonder who on this thread can say the same.
