I gather we now know, just from this piece alone but no doubt it will be followed or even preceded by untold more, that the public opposition to an invasion of Iraq without serious justification is a commie inspired, traitorous, menace to the country

Were today's protests organized by ANSWER, yes or no? The NY Times says yes.

Is ANSWER a Marxist organization? By the words of their own activists, it is. And it's allied with WWP, which is socialist.

Is it a smear to call someone a Communist who calls himself a Marxist? Not exactly.

Do I think that most of today's protesters were Marxists, or knew that the signs they held had been printed by a Marxist organization? No, I think they are mostly too clueless to be that aware.
