Don't you think that most of the Church's anti-capitalism is just deeply reactionary?


The Church is committed to the concept that the highest form of Morality is the sacrifice of the individual for the good of the group. You can start with Jesus on that one. They believe Pride is a sin. Selfishness is a sin. These are anti-capitalistic concepts.

Now I really don't think they give a damn how people make money, as long as they get their 10% and are obeyed. But they are predisposed to consider Socialism more moral than Capitalism.
