And even when it is making all these decision in to a racial political battle only strengthens racism. You could impose proportional representation but in the mean time you would be increasing racial tension and racism.



I again refer to my own experience of joining the workforce at a time when nearly all professional exempt employees were white. About 25 years ago that began to change. Minorities were hired and they were hired under explicit goals that there would be minority representation in these professions. Racial tensions pretty quickly evolved into the more ordinary personal tensions that managers are taught to deal with. The issue has largely disappeared.

I understand that the experience of the military largely followed the same process.
