I read Tom Friedman (we had another esteemed Friedman oped this morning, much to my delight) as suffering from Rabin nostalgia. You can almost hear him say, Rabin could have straightened this mess out. He would have implemented the wise Left agenda with the warrior strength of the Right.

It was not analysis as much as lament.

Good point. As I've said before, I think the Rabin nostalgia is chimerical, but since he is dead, everyone is free to read into his policies whatever they wish to see. Was this nostalgia just Friedman's own lament or all of Labor's? Answer: yes.

Sounds to me like Labor is starting to come out of denial over the death of Oslo, but not so far out as to have formulated any new policy.
