To avoid war, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said today would favor granting Saddam Hussein and senior Iraqi leaders immunity from possible war crimes prosecution if it would clear the way for their exile. chron.com By next week the administration will be offering Saddam a billion dollars and a seat on Carlyle's board if he would just help out with the reelection. Would Saddam look any less threatening with a Bush/Cheney button on his lapel? TP
